Day 2: Getting Out and About

Oh what a beautiful morning, oh what a beautiful day!…

The MSI classes made sure to take advantage of the gorgeous weather that we had out at Morven today! With clear blue and sunny skies, topped off by a nice cool breeze, taking a summer class OUTDOORS doesn’t get any better than this.

The Agro-Ecology class ventured down to the kitchen garden to start brainstorming what sorts of projects that they’ll be conducting over this next week and a half. Some of these projects might include monitoring pollination by our local honey bees, researching thistle weed plants, and experimenting with swallowtail caterpillars that are currently eating all of our parsley! Sounds pretty neat, huh??

Meanwhile, the Politics of Food class brought their lecture outside to discuss food choices and different stakeholders in the world of food politics.
